Looping Info needed
In PT8 - I made an audio loop w/ some scissors listening to a click track @ 200bpm;
even recorded the click to see how far off I was; then used elastic time/poly/warp to quantize the audio and after trimming - ended up w/ 8 clean bars that lined up perfectly w/ the recorded click audio wave forms. But when I try and loop it - - it goes off beat right away. I tried to cut and paste manually - and the manual cross fade's don't seem to work. Any suggestions? Would beat Detective work better in this situation? maybe using the recorded audio click as the reference? |
Re: Loop Heros wanted
Do you have the original source file? Open it up in Workspace and conform it to Tempo and drag it in.

Re: Loop Heros wanted
the beauty of the loop is it's already conformed perfectly to tempo - elastic audio worked great;
yet when i try and make 30 or so more loops for a song - it doesn't stay in time.... |
Re: Loop Heros wanted
Commit the EA track and duplicate again.

Re: Loop Heros wanted
Don't use Duplicate - set the grid to Bars/Beats and Loop Region

Hi Rail so duplicating is adding the time?

Re: Loop Heros wanted
Wasn't this a know issue some time back? I seem to recall DTS explaining why it happened and what to do about it. It never affected me so I don't remember a lot.. but a search should turn up something.

Re: Loop Heros wanted
I am region looping; don't know any other way. It's still goes off. Obviously, the loop is not perfect but darn close; i thought - like Live, it just automatically keeps the loop synced when i go to Region/Number of Loops etc; This is my first time using a warped loop. That has got to have something to do w/ it, i'd guess.
