Noise appearing when using M-Audio Fast Track Pro
 

Hello,

I use a Fast track pro since 2 years, and a problem has appeared since several weeks.

When working on Ableton, or simply Listening to music, a noise appeared:

It is very dangerous for ears and monitoring, and i don't know what could cause it.
When i restart the sound card, this noise seems to disappear.

The LEDs become totally red, as it was clipping...

Sometimes it happens 1 or 2 times a day, often when i start the computer and the soundcard.


He told me he changed it, and his M-Audio seems to work OK now.


How can i solve it please?

Searching on forums, i've read that it could be due to the on/off button.
