Help with Premiere

I just finished posting some audio tracks for a friend who edited his documentary on Premiere. I had him export small clips into a QuickTime format. Everything went fine on my end, did a bounce to "QuickTime movie..." and listened to them and they sound fine. Where it gets weird is on his end. He can play them fine in QuickTime but when he imports them back into Premiere every 1:04 there is a “tick” or hic up. So every 1:04…2:08…3:12 and so on, there is an anomaly.

Is it Premiere that is not seeing the QuickTime files correctly? Did I bounce them at the wrong specs (QuickTime, Formate:Stereo Interleaved, Resolution:16, Sample Rate:4800)? Is it that he is PC and I’m MAC? Did I Start my sessions in the wrong parameters (Audio File Type:BWF, Sample Rate: 48kHz, Bit Depth:24)

Not sure what his full specs are but he is running Adobe Premiere Pro on a PC. I am running Pro Tools LE on a Mac Book Pro Intel with a MBox 1 (looking to upgrade one of these days…maybe a MBox 2 pro with a Mackie MCU or do the Digi 02 upgrade with the Mackie…but I digress)

Any help would be appreciated…even a “Why did you do it that way…”

Thanks

p.s if this helps any the files he gave me are 240x160 (man these are small to look at) Codecs: Planar RGB, Integer (Big Endian)

p.p.s.s. I have 2 samples, is there a way to add attachments? There 12KB each or is there another place I can upload them to?

Re: Help with Premiere

Why did you do it that......just kidding
Is there a reason you needed to deliver your mix as a QuickTime, and not just as bwf audio files that he can import into Premiere?
Does Premiere support 24bit audio?

Not a Premiere guy, so just taking a guess

Good luck,

Joe

here is a response from the Adobe Forums:

I think the quickest first try solution is to uninstall QT and then re-install it.

If you're up against a deadline then simply convert the QT file to a DV AVI Type 2 file and move on.
