Re: Doc\'s new tunes
btw... just noticed on your site you have Alex Bach listed under your links... small world. I auditioned as a freelance guitarist for her a few years back down in FL. Between her and her manager there is some great talent there. Did you get to record on her new record?

Re: Doc\'s new tunes

Work in Progress
Frustrated with arrangement issues. I know this isn't a writing forum, but any thoughts on filling this in would be appreciated. Can't seem to do any (needed) lyric rewrites until all the parts are there, but I don't know what the parts will be. Organ? Choir? Full orchestra? ...rainstick? Sick to death of synths and MIDI and all that...craving authenticity. Like a howelling guitar solo or something. Frustrated.

Re: My solo CD....
whoehoe!
I`ve just discovered a great coorparation here! I started listening "out of the blue", while the "beat down boys" site opened... cause of the automatic start of the beatdown boys.. I thought,,, wow, this is great.. at first I didn`t even noticed I had 2 tracks playing together!! so... If I were you... I`d combine it... It was defenitly better this way!!! |
Please rate my first song if you have the time.
I have posted my first song to review on the internet and was hoping maybe some of you here might be interested in checking it out. Its a house tune just to let ya know. I Use PTs 001 and REASON. Please let me know how I can engineer it better and what you think of the composition in general. I'm willing to do a second version of this tune so have at it if you will. Thanks alot. Cut and paste this...

Doc\'s NEw Tunes - Baba G\'Nush
All,
Finished up a new band this week. Really happy with this overall demo. These guys are fired up. Very Faith No More, meets Red Hot Chili Peppers with a flare of Kid Rock, Mr. Bungle with a twist of 311. Very cool I think this is my best work yet sonically. Funq Liquor Ph Level It All Goes Away Write The Wrong Here was the chain that I used.... Drums: Kick - 421 - X73i Kick 2 - Subkick - 1272 Snare Top - SM57 - X73i Snare Bottom - SM57 - 1272 Toms - API 3124 +MB - submixed into one stereo track (roto toms too) Overheads - Oktava 012 - Trident 80B - Distressors Hi Hat - Oktava 012 - Trident S20 Guitars: Paul Reed Smith Fender Pro Sonic Marshall JCM 800 Mic'd Bogner Ubershcall cabinet with 421 and SM57 Bass: Mesa Boogie Bass Head - Direct out into 1176 Vocals - SM-7B - X73i - Distressor (love it!) Used outboard Lexicon PCM-90, Eventide Harmonizer and Digitech Tsr-24S Used True Verb and URS plugs solely. No compression or EQ on any guitars. Bass had 660 plug and URS A plug.
