Play in reverse
 

A simple question. Does anyone know how i can get a selected piece of audio, to be reversed on the timeline?

You can use "Reverse" in Audio Suite to make a new file that's backwards, but at this point you can't actually play the timeline in reverse.

When I was an assistant at Streeterville 10 years ago (my god, has it been that long?), the engineer I was working with told me there was an undocumented shortcut for recording in reverse. He told me what it was but I forgot. He may have been pulling my leg, but he wasn't the kind of guy to do that. That must of been PT V. 3 or 4. Did this function ever exist at one point? Does it not exist for LE? If It doesn't exist, why not?
