PT 6.4 on a Windows XP Laptop
 

I have a friend who just loaded Pro Tools 6.4 onto his laptop. When going into setting up a New Session the Blue Screen of Death pops up every time. The Laptop is Lenovo ThinkPad 1.83GHz Centrino Duo 1GB RAM. Its connected to a Digi 002. Any idea why this might be triggering the Blue Screen?

Has your friend checked the compatibility threads from Digi, is he running sp2, is the firewire connection the correct one?
Check his specs against what's required.

You need 6.4 AND 6.4cs6 AND 6.4cs9 AND the latest PACE drivers AND you need to turn off one core as Pro Tools 7x is the only version multi-core capable. Then there is also the issue of whether the laptop is compatible with Pro Tools or not.
