Using Artist Control with Artist Transport?

Hello All,

Are there advantages to using a Transport along with the Control? What might they be? I understand there are very similar in function but I have seen where some use both. For example, the keypad on the Transport?

I am at the point of cutting the aluminum bezel for console surface panel(s) so if I am adding it, it needs to be now.

Thanks,
Billy

If you are asking about using the mc control with a mc transport, their are lot's of advantages.

The transport has 36 soft buttons which you can program anything you want on including macros. I personally think you need a few mc mixes, a control and a transport to have a complete controller. All 4 together and you'll be ripping through mixes, fast!

That's how I currently have it laid out: (L) Mix + Mix + Control + Transport (R).

Also will place LogicKeyboard ProTool (Thin) + Kensington Expert Trackball either over or under the Control and Transport.

Opinion:

If I place a TT PB SideCar to the left of the main console (which has a wide display monitor on moving arm on center) would you place the KB and Trackball to the right of the Transport or keep them over or under the MC Controllers?

Thanks,
William
