groovilator,
I like 'Get your face outta my space', especially those verse parts. Good job on the production, and definitely on the vocals as usual. I like everything I've heard from you so far.

Thanks Roy! I really appreciate that. Your comments (whether they would be compliments or criticism) really mean a lot considering the fact you're, like, a pro and stuff. And of course, the fact that your recordings are always just flat out awesomely cool!

thanks a lot Roy, glad you enjoyed it. As for the boominess in the guitar, I think I need to improve my monitoring evironment. I think I'm going to pick up some "mopads", maybe that will help. I'm going to revisit that tune to remix it in the next couple weeks, maybe even retrack the electric guitar which clips in a couple places.

thanks for the listen!!

Those tracks are great. Very Impressive.
Can you give us some more information on what other equipment you used? Mics, preamps, converters, plugins etc.
thanks

Hot off the presses! I started this song Wednesday night and I'm almost done with it. By far a new record for me. Hopefully it's a sign I'm getting more efficient with PT and not a fluke. This is a bluesy one... People on the Streets

I'm going to add real drums in the bridge and last chorus now.

Micah,

this is one of the best tunes I have heard in a long time.
Hats off. Congratulations on a song well written and performed!

Micah,
What a great song...('people on the streets')...cool chords, arrangement, great vocals, guitars...everything. I was afraid the chorus would jump into something typical, but it just got better. Excellent writing, IMO.

Here's one of the mixes of my band's live show from 4/9/04 that I'm just about done with.

Sorry it's not an original tune, but the key is that it was all done live onstage with PTLE, so I thought people might still be interested to hear it.

A cover of Steely Dan's "Peg"

FYI, Guitar: me, vocals & keys: Damon Mollenkopf, bass: Jason Monro, drums:, Cory Cisler.

Mark,

for this CD I used:

Digi 001
AD Apogee Rosetta
DA Benchmark DAC-1

Kick-snare-most vocals-some bass-most electrics

~vintech Dual 72 (neve clone)- Emperical Labs Distressor

Overheads, toms, some bass some lead guitar

~Sytek MPX-4ai w/ burr browns - distressor

some room mics
~focusrite trak master

did a rough mix to send to the mix house and they loved it so much they told me to finish it..

so... mixed in the box, recorded as a mix to a stereo 24 bit .wav file and sent to mastering.

used Event 20/20 bas w/ pro jbl sub and crossovers.

anyone else interested it's:
