Thinking about upgrading to Windows 11. Will Pro Tools 11.3.1 work with it?
 

So I've had Pro Tools 11.3.1 running fine on Windows 10 21H1 since January, and with Windows 11 Now being offered to me as part of their staggered launch, I was wondering whether my version of PT would work with it?

I've done a little bit of reading and returned with conflicting results, with some sites saying that programs that were compatible with Windows 10 should be compatible with Windows 11, with a few minor exceptions. I'm not a very big risk taker, and so I thought I'd come here to ask before I take the plunge.

It will probably work, but definitely unsupported. It would be a good idea to do a full backup before attempting in case something goes wrong. Although I was able to roll back from Win 11 to Win 10 when I initially was testing one of the Insider Preview builds.

I don't know of anyone who's tried PT 11 on Win 11.

I'm running 2021.7 here on Windows 11 without issue. The upgrade to Win 11 was pretty painless (TPM, GPT, SecureBoot requirements asside). All my programs work the same as they did before the upgrade.

Hi, thanks for letting me know.

Can you reccomend any software that will allow me to backup/restore to and from an external hard drive? Windows file history isn't exactly easy to use and often I have no idea whether it's even woking or not.

I like Macrium Reflect free version.
