Expanding Window View

When I open a session my window view both mix and wav view windows are not fully expanding. Also I can’t get the views to fit my screen properly as I have to constantly move the side bar up and down to see the track names (on the mix view) and then the insert names. Any ideas?

Having the window not fully expanded when launching a session is a bug that Digidesign knows about. Just maximize the window first after launching the session, and it will stay expanded for the rest of the session. This was suppose to be fixed in 5.1

Are you using 5.1 ?

Yes, I'm using 5.1.

Re: Expanding Window View

The minimum display resolution we recommend for PTLE/Win98 is 1024 x 768 (See the "compatibility" link at the bottom of this page for related information). You really won't have access to everything in PTLE at 800 x 600.

With version 5.1, the Mix and Edit windows retain their maximization state when a session is re-opened. In other words, the following should work:

1. Create a new session (or open an existing 5.01 session)
2. Maximize the Edit and Mix windows (maximizing either one also maximizes the other)
3. Save the session
4. Close the session
5. Re-open the session
6. The Edit and Mix windows should open up in a maximized state.

Is the above not working correctly on your system? Does it work when you increase the display resolution?
