I wonder if GC (which has online outlets called "Musician's Friend" and "Music 123") got jealous of all the attention lavished on Sweetwater and insisted they be able to leak the MBox 3. Perhaps they will also trot out a goat to whip for doing so, or maybe they will mercifully skip that part. :rolleyes:

The most hopeful thing is that the MBox 3 and Essentials might be the entire low end for Avid, and a 100% uncrippled HD Native will take it from there. That would make sense, except for people who bought HD systems between now and the native launch.

It looks like this is it for announcements from Avid until AES. I am thinking HD Native will ship at AES running version 8.1 and that they hope to have at least a preview of PT9 at Winter NAMM. Version 8.1 looks like it was done as an insurance policy to make sure they had some relatively stable software to run on the new hardware.

i beleive music 123, guitar centre, and musicians freind ar all the same warehouse. So it makes sence for them to have the EXACT same price, and EXACT same amount of savings... as for the sweet water part... thats just weird lol.

That is weird about Sweetwater, if you search Avid 004, its says, Nothing Found, but search Avid Mbox 3, and it says its no longer available??something is afoot:eek::D

I'm seriously wondering now if this is all being done on purpose. How many times in 2 weeks can the same mess-ups be happening for the same manufacturer at various different stores.

Either that or Avid has a serious communication problem with it's dealers.
