Riad,
Sounds good man, been meaning to throw it through the system at home. That RBI is great eh! I use mine still, but I tell ya, that DEMETER TUBE Pre I bought! DEAR GOD does it have a killer tone! Incredibly fat sounding, and full. Tops that through the 1176 and BOOOOMMMM!!!!! killer tone!

Good deal on the tune though! Sounds great!

Thanks, I run my RBI back through my Avalon and that works well too... I have two purchases I need to make in the next few weeks, a soundelux 251 and an AMS Neve 1073.

Keep ya posted on the sound of that combo!

Why the AMS? Which one too? The DPA? or the 1073. I am loving the pair of X73i's that I just got. Guitars were MAD this weekend.

AMS Neve makes two models the 1073DPA and the 1073DPD, the DPD is the digital version which I don't need. The 1073 is a dual channel Neve 1073 for under $3000, that's not too far off from a pair of Vintechs. If you look at the 1073, X73i, Great River, they all sound good, just different. I say buy them all!!

a question to throw out there...

a question for the "latest stuff" lurkers/posters/misc denziens....

I love this venerable thread as much as everyone else does, but I was curious; would you guys rather have this thread or a dedicated forum, like prosoundweb and gearslutz...

just thinking it would be cool to get the mac and tdm folks work/opinions/input, and more discussion of individual songs, easier to search, etc.

just a thought. I wonder if digi would go for that.

Yes I agree, I wish this wasn't in the LE forum because other user's might not know it's here.
Would Digi make this a separate forum... let me know how that works out for ya.

Gene.

I really enjoyed that. I was brought up on classical music.
Where were your mics positioned? I guess you were limited as to where you could put them? The piano sounds good, but the violin sounds like he/she is standing about 20 feet behind the piano. Pity you can't drop a mic right over the violin. Anyway, great effort under obviously less-than-perfect circumstances.
