PT2021 and VirtualVTR
 

Hi, we have 4 studios running identical Virtual VTR/AJA KONA/PT10HD/MTC sync combination without any problems. Recently we upgraded two of them with PT 2021.3 and 2021.7. Since then we cannot play [email protected] movies without immediate sync drift- about 1 sec in 10-15 sec of playback. This happens with and without external sync, SyncHD etc. I wonder if somebody has a knowledge what was that drastically changed in MTC sync between PT10 and 2021?

Hm, I thought VVTR was long gone. (32bit app).
Are you running that on the same machine as the 2021.7 rig? Might be an OS conflict? Not sure, sorry.

Wow, haven't thought about VVTR in about a decade. Loved that set up but it's just too easy to keep in all in one session.

Maybe, but it is totally error-AVE-free and sync is better. Also it depends how much you want to spend on hardware VS how busy your PT sessions are. Unloading video really helps.
