Looking for a step filter effect?

Hey guy's I am looking for a step filter effect to use on a specific instrument.

The problem is I cant seem to find anything that does the job and sweeps through the spectrum automatically like I want it to.

There was a plug-in I used about 4 years ago in SX3 which did the job great but I dont like Cubase too much and am am pretty much set in my ways with PT.

Do you guy's know of a plug or a work around that can get this job done in a fairly easy manner?

The Step Filter in SX3 could be set in musical ways like in 4/4 or 3/4 etc and would sweep in them patterns.

Thanks, Baris

You could use any filter and automate a parameter and draw in the stepped automation you want with the pencil tool.

I believe the Air Filter Gate may also be appropriate here?

It looks good but I was looking for a cheaper option for now, though I'm glad I've come across that as it's got some great features and i'll check that out at a later date.

Tommorow I'm gonna check the Creative Collection for the Filter Gate and see if that does the job?

I had a great effect a few years ago with a cow bell and a step filter - seriously nice sound but only just remembered about it the other day and have been going crazy for a step filter since.

I'll report back with my findings........

Thanks
