Faulty Accel core PCIe repair in UK

Hi, my Accel core PCIe card has developed a fault and cannot be recognised by PT or Digitest. I've contacted Lee engineering in Birmingham (UKs authorised repairer) but they didn't offer a repair, just a replacement for £946 + VAT!! :eek: Appreciate this is old tech now so they don't want to touch it, but has anyone had any luck getting cards repaired here in the UK recently? Alternative is to bin it and buy another 2nd hand I guess. Thanks!

Hi, welcome to the community.

I would think you have better luck getting 2nd hand replacement card from the fleebay for fraction of the repair price

Agreed, or reverb.com. With the average tech rate at $150-200 per hour, repairing doesn't make much sense unless you have a great bench tech in-house:o
