can\'t open files session files .....plz help...

Hi

i am runnig protools 6.1.1 on windows xp with digi001. Everthing seems to work fine but from some reason i can't open big session files...
when i am trying to open big session it stucks the program and try to locate fade files till the application is terminated.....

i can open small projects...small session with no problem but only when i try to open the big sessions it wont open them !

the sessions that i am trying to open - i did with older version of protools ( 5.1 ) so maybe this is the problem ...but how do i fix it?????

plz help !!!!!
Thanks !!!!!!!!!!

Have you tried to open the session from within Protools? In other words open up Protools and then go to File>Open Session and open the session that way.Just an idea

Create a new session in PT 6.1. Then choose File - Import Session Data and import the 5.1 session into the new session. Make sure to select each track from the old session you are importing and choose convert if the bit depth or sample rate are different.

The new session could work.
