flipped flex fader on sc48?

Hello All.

One of our guys was running an sc48 for monitors last week and came across something I haven't thought of yet. He was mixing his auxes in flipped-fader mode for a band that had 17 inputs. In order to get to all the channels, he put that 17th input on the flex channel for easier access. What he noticed, however, was that when the console was in FTF mode, the flex channel's fader retained its role as a master volume fader, and could not be used to contribute to an aux, like the others. The aux adjustment was available on the encoder above the flex channel's fader, however.

So, my long-winded question is this:
Is there a way for the flex channel to obey the Flip to Faders' command? If not currently, is it possible in a future software update? It seems like it would be a cool option to have.

Thanks for your time.

Joel

Hi Joel,

In its current form the Flex Fader is meant to be the "go to" fader that never really changes its function once assigned, the way other faders do. That said, it would be useful in a monitor situation to have even more flexibility for the Flex Fader. :-)

Please check out the online feature request site set up to capture ideas like this, and add it as a request.
