latency issues with bfd

Im trying to write some midi beats in pt using bfd lite and the latency is awful! im triggering with a midi keyboard. Ive tried increasing and lowering the buffer size but it I only get a late or later response. can someone give me advice on how to fix this. my other virtual instruments seem to trigger in realtime or pretty close. right now bfd is useless to me. any help would be great..

Which device and what's your buffer size set to?

Re: latency issues with bfd

my hardware is m-audio ozonic. right now i have the buffer size at its lowest level 128 samples with 2 rtas processers. cpu usage limit is at 85%. dae playback buffer size is 400ms level 0. cache size is set to large. Ive read through the manual but still dont quite understand how to set this up. right now Im only recording midi info (No wave or aiff) triggering virtual instruments so I need the right settings to achieve the lowest amount of latency from these instruments. I also would like to be able to use alot of different instruments at once with minimal latency. right now im using to plugins in my session, kontakt 2 and bfd. I have one electric piano sound loaded into kontakt and it is performing flawlessly. but the bfd plugin's responsiveness is late and unpredictable.
