Protools 10:"ProTools Hardware is either not installed or in use by another program"

Hi all, totally new to this.
Just bought & installed protools 10.
restarted, inserted iLok...
then after protools startup, message appears: "protools hardware is either not installed or in use by another program"

My set up is simple as I only require to create and capture sounds via my keyboards (triton extreme and motif xs8).

After brief search in forums, it's been suggested that interface needs to be given explicit priority in Control Panel (Sounds)...
I can't seem to be able to dedicate this...

Anyway, is there a solution? :confused:
Again, at the moment I only need it to work with minimal functionality (unlike most others who'll be using it to create loads work)
