Softube Said They Won't Hit September Deadline

On their FB page, Softube just said they would not be hitting the September deadline they had previously promised. They said the plug-ins are in beta, but they need more time.

Hats off to Softube for not getting something that only KIND OF works to market. I have a handful of their stuff I'm anxious for as well. Not to mention my UA Powered Plugins.
(Insert JEOPARDY theme here...)

Yeah - just putting it on the DUC, not meant as a judgment.

You can already use Softube plugins (as 64-bit VST) hosted inside Blue Cat Audio's MB-7 plugin, so I'm already using TSAR-1 in my PT 11 sessions. Along with Slate's VCC - same deal. It also hosts shell VST (like older Waves and UAD ... by the way).

Opens up a world of VST effects and VI that may never be ported to AAX in fact. I'm a fan.

Time for another Softube vacation already? :D :p ;)

Also, I don't feel like dropping $100 for Mb7 to use plugins I already own.

Re: Softube Said They Won't Hit September Deadline

Totally understand re: buying MB-7 to use existing plugins. But ...

I figure, (1) it's ALSO a fine plugin on its own (dynamic mixing plugin) and (2) can ALSO be used with VST stuff that's never gonna be AAX (Camel Alchemy Player, etc.), and (3) I can ALSO use my Slate, Softube, NI, etc. plugins the last couple weeks and the upcoming weeks, so... it's worth the $90 I paid.

That's me - I'm not on commission - just a fan and a total hack/hobbyist. Everyone's mileage may differ. It's just a workaround available now.

I'll give them credit for being upfront with their users and open and honest.

More developers should be that decent. Does a lot to generate good will.

Exactly. I read something like that and my reaction is " Thanks for the update, good to know your actively working on it and take as much time as you need."

Was their any additional guesstimate? (like this year, Q1 '14, etc) Of course, beta testing can yield nothing or tons and any amount in between. That aside.......
