D-Control track ball failing
Howdy,
The trackball left button is starting to fail on my D-Control... Is there any idea of the parts these guys are made from? I've taken it out, the button mechanism soldered onto the board is no longer clicking. I could unsolder the current one and place a new one on. Stefan. |
Re: D-Control track ball failing
You don't need to unsolder anything. I took mine out. It's just a couple connectors for the whole unit. You can buy a complete replacement. Just Google. There is usually one on Ebay.

Re: D-Control track ball failing
Really? I wouldn't think that would be available on ebay.
It's a digidesign/Avid built circuit board that the buttons are attached to. Stef. |

Re: D-Control track ball failing
It's not the ball itself that's failing, it's the button.

Re: D-Control track ball failing
The PCB board. The ball box. All of it is on Ebay I've seen.
But it's usually someone in the UK. I had to buy a pcb replacement for a fader unit before. They had everything else at the time. Maybe not now. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk |
Re: D-Control track ball failing
OK, perhaps I'm entirely miss-understanding your replies.
By the 'whole thing' you mean the ball (an OEM part) and the buttons that are an Avid part? If that's the case, it's not actually a 'whole part' is it? it's made up of various bits. |
