A Silly PT Optimization Question
I have always wondered why Digi suggests the you disable Hardware Acceleration in the Display Properties section of the General Troubleshooting thread.
It would seem to me that Enabling Hardware Acceleration would take some strain of the CPU... The only reason I could think of to disable it would be if enabling it causes the processer to take on whatever processing the GPU can't handle. I was curious if anyone knew the reason for disabling Hardware Acceleration.....And if with todays processers and video cards if its still needed? I can understand disabling Smooth Font Scrolling or Drop Shadows as these were usually performed by the processer and were CPU hogs. Just curious..... Enlighten Me |
