Mbox mini Help!?
 

I have had Pro Tools LE 8 with the box mini 3 for a couple years now. I am using an iMac for my computer. Lately apple had their software update to OS X EL Capitan and since then my Mbox does not work with my iMac anymore. I called for support and was told that they discontinued making updates for pro tools 8 and its no longer compatible with my iMac. Does anyone have any solutions because now i can no longer access my pro tools and since the box isn't working neither will my microphone or my speakers. Someone please help me

The solution is to roll back to your last working backup. Or jump through hoops to obtain an old OS X installer and reinstall OS X and your apps.

Apple and Avid are not at fault here. Next time do not upgrade operating systems until you know all applications are claimed to work, and best do a test install on a separate partition or boot drive. And in-situ OS X upgrades can be problematic with Pro Tools so best to do what Avid recommends and do clean OS X installs on each major OS X release.
