I can't install the PTF. Everytime it comes to the part "release notes and documentations", it stop and said there is an error. and it is installing the readme file. who knows why?

I have exactly the same problem. It always stops at 3% through installation with an error message showing it stopped at Readme.doc

Someone please help.

This installer probably wants at least 25 megs of disk free before the install. The installer does create a bunch of temp files, so that will eat up some of the space - you might want to check your available disk space.

actually i got 900Mb free space. do u think its because of other audio prog?

I also encounter the same problem!!! It also happens while installing the documentation files InstallPTFREEDocuments.exe. Is it a bug???

Hey friends, it seems we all from Hong Kong and Taiwan. Do u guys think its a problem of Chinese Windows? i use CWin 98. Let's find out some more common things amoung us. Did u heard any case who use CWin can install the PTF? Any other suggestions? We must solve the problems!

Actually I was planning to try it on plain English Win98SE but I couldn't get hold of one.

It's no surprise that CWin98SE won't work since PTF is known to not work in Japanese Win98. Any of you tried installing a Eng Win98SE on the same PC and got PTF working?

On a second thought, can it be the PTF installer on Akaimai (from which those of us in HK and Taiwan downloaded PTF) has a problem? Has anyone got a copy of PTF downloaded from US?
