Feature requests..
Hey guys,
great job on the custom mapping! Just finished a big Atmos mix with the newest software and used this feature extensively. Came in very handy! I have two feature requests: with bigger plugins finding the parameter to map is not that easy sometimes. Would it be possible to just touch a parameter on the plugin GUI and then touch a knob/fader on the S6 to assign it? Like with MIDI learn.. And another one would be the possibility to change a meter display from Master Meter Module to 'normal meter' with a softkey and store it in the session. |
Re: Feature requests..
Glad you are enjoying custom maps - and thanks for the feedback! Can you elaborate a bit please on what you mean by "normal" meter? Thanks.

Re: Feature requests..
Switching between Master Meter Mode and Channel meters can only be done in the surface setup page as it does require a lot of re wiring in the background. I'm not saying it cant ever be done but its not an easy task.
I'll look into the mapping request.... |
Re: Feature requests..
Ah yes, Channel Meters. I believe allocating a dedicated CDM for Master Meters is the way to go - and it doesn't have to be physically mounted in the standard location as Channel Meters. Just like the tether some folks use on the MPM and MJM - find an appropriate location and pipe an ethernet feed from the switch in your frame. If MTRX or MTRX studio is involved, these can be used to look at Sources (re-renders, streaming inputs, room patches, etc.) or Output Destinations.

Re: Feature requests..
thanks guys, appreciate the replies. Understood that meter switching can only be done via surface config at this point. No biggie.
We already have the meter panels in a very unusual location in the Atmos mix room. Some pics here: https://postproduction.redbull.com/facilities/ I love this layout. Way better than the standard frame we use with the S6 in the other rooms. |

Looks fabulous!
