Sampletank 2 SE cursor problem PT LE 7.0
 

I posted this awhile back and haven't heard from IK Multimedia, or Digi about a fix. Others have had this problem. One guy had 2 gigs of RAM and still came across this:

I recently upgraded to PT LE 7.0 and have noticed something odd when using Sampletank 2 SE as a plug-in. Not sure if its a bug. After choosing an instrument (by double clicking on the instrument name) the arrow cursor controlled by the mouse disappears. You have to move the mouse a lot for the cursor to appear again. And when the cursor finally appears, it on the other side of the page.

Has anyone had a similar problem?

Are you on Mac or PC?

We've seen this on PC and it appears to be a Sampletank bug, as it occurs with Sampletank 2 full version as well.

You should report this to IK Multimedia.

I'm on a PC. I emailed IK Multimedia support back in January. They replied within a week saying that they're working on it, but haven't heard back since. I'll try contacting them again.

Hi, honestly we cannot reproduce here.. no one can seem to. are you using pc
or mac? If PC make sure you have the latest video drivers for your card,
sometimes those things can solve problems like this.

Hello,

The basic idea is to use a Pro Tools MIDI track (so I can use the quantizing features in Pro Tools) to build rhythm patterns and loops using my own sounds.

I'm using a Marantz PMD 670 to record different sounds out in the world and then put them into a Pro Tools track where I edit them down to a size that will ultimately be a drum event in a rhythm pattern. I bounce the edited sounds to disk. So far so good. I"ve been trying to import these edited sounds into SampleTank 2 where I plan to use my MIDI controller to trigger these sounds and build rhythm tracks (back in Pro Tools) to be used with other material later. When I try to import these sounds into ST2 using the "import" button, I get to the place where I've saved the files, but the files are "grayed out", and ST2 won't import them and that's where I'm stuck. The sounds are 24 bit .wav files. Is this OK for ST2? Might there be other compatibility issues with ST 2 and files from Pro Tools that I need to address?

Am I going about this in the right way?

I'd friendly invite the IKM guys over for a cup of tea and put their noses on my PC screen. Exactly the same problem over here (Sampletank 2.1 XL and Sonik Synth 2 installed). It's actually getting kinda VERY annoying when you want to scroll through your list and picking instruments for audition. Above that, my session almost always stops playing when switching instruments!

This happens to me as well. Its to bad because I love sampletank, but it is too much hassle to use with this issue present. I just submitted a bug report to IK including a link to this thread. I guess we will see what happens.
