Save as template error

I am getting the following error when I am trying to save a session as a template.

Could not save as "Template v1" because Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/148208/ProTools/NewFileLibs/CoreFoundation/MacBuild/../../Sys/Sys_FileLoc.cpp", line 199.

There are no clips in the session. I have created the tracks and named them and added a few plugins that I know I will be using.

Any thoughts?

I would try to delete PT preferences, reboot, then launch PT again.

took me a while before I wanted to try this. I did this and it jacked up all my i/o settings. but it didn't fix the issue. I still get the same error.
