Playcell Palette error Problem on Mac
 
playcell palette won't download from Avidlink, crashes and won't install. It result also corrupted file if download it manually from myAvid account.

Avidlink is also full of bugs and anomalies.. It marks to be installed what is already installed, etc.

same problem on my 2 macs...

Avid... what else? :mad:

For me, Playcell Palette downloaded from the website. It took a looong time to open, after reporting "Not Responding" but it did finally open, then it worked.


For me, for example, the Loopmasters Samples 1.0 does not tell me it is already installed. It just says "Install" again. However, what gets installed is simply a folder with Wav file loops. There is no registration of that folder in the system, it's not an "app," so I assume nothing reports that it is "Installed".

Other plug-ins or promotions might very well actually be installed but in some way not showing up as "Installed" but maybe they should. Maybe it is a bug.

Some of them however, it would be weird also to me to see an "uninstall" button when really, a folder would just be deleted.

Same issues here as well. PlayCell Palette will download, but won't install, it crashes the installer program (freezes actually) and I have to force quit it. I even tried manually installing it after download (located in /Library/Caches/Avid/AvidLink/Downloads/ folder).

Also, for years I've been getting the issue of it repeatedly installing plugins that are already installed over and over again. What I normally do after an install is to make sure all plugins are up to date, and then uninstall Avid Link, as it's very annoying…

I haven't solved anything yet, I wrote to support but it's useless ...
Avid support ignore my requests, bug reports of Avid link and everything else,
the only thing they don't ignore are my money of the subscription and support !

Today avid link gave no error when download, but
it's been more than 2 hours since avid link is trying to install Play Cell Palette...

30 minutes was enough to install the whole Komplete 14 sound library ..

Avid... what else?:mad:

Check permissions for PlayCell inside the Plug-in Settings folder.

while play cell palette is still installing...
1KB per hour...it will take more weeks!!

meanwhile from Avid support no SUPPORT received!
Has anyone unplugged the Avid server from the internet?
