Shortcut help - snap to previous / next?
Hi guys I neep a litle help. Is there a keyboard shortcut for the command "snap to previous / next region". I have searched the manual and the shotcut reference document but with no luck... Thanks in advance Jakob |
Re: Shortcut help - snap to previous / next?
cmd+ctrl+grab = snap end of region to cursor
ctrl+grab = snap beginning of region to cursor ctrl+shift+grab = snap sync point to cursor The only "real" snap to previous region would be while editing in shuffle mode. Then, simply drag the region to the left. Unless someone else knows otherwise? Good luck. -Ryan |
Re: Shortcut help - snap to previous / next?
Also:
Ctrl & Right Click on region will bring up a menu (as of PT 7.3) with options for snapping the regions start, sync point or end to the cursor. Right Click on region will bring up a menu (as of PT 7.3) with options to snap the start / end to the previous / next region (I seem to remember). I'm also surprised at how few people seem to notice that you can set the grid to "Regions / Markers" (a similar result can be achieved by holding down the Start key - as far as I remember - and dragging it up to the nearest region). Hope that helps. |

You can set your own keyboard shortcut in OSX for Snap to.... in conjunction with cntrl/cmd -l/' that speeds up the procedure quite a bit.
I'm using Keyboard Maestro with a script however (like Autohotkey but for OSX). You can record "do as I do" scripts really easily, or simple write your own shell script if you're so inclined. |
