01v Fader Movements & PT

Has anyone been able to fully automate their 01v and PT?

Well, it really depends of what you mean...It is a piece of cake to control the Pro Tools' on-screen faders with 01v and set initial balances or record automation moves that way. But getting the screen fader movements back to the 01v is a completely different question...It is probably possible with some serious MIDI programming, but personally I would not bother.

Since it's so easy, would you mind posting the instructions so others can benefit from it? I think that's what were looking for, not just to be told that it's easy. Thanks.

Hmm. Just noticed this was the Window's forum. I know almost nothing about PC Pro Tools...But assuming it has the MIDI controllers in the peripherals menu in the Setups menu: Choose MM-16 as the controller. 01v as the input and output device. Set up the hexes on the 01v remote page 3 :

BF 40 FAD END
BF 41 FAD END
...
BF 4E FAD END

This is the basic setup to control the 15 first on-screen Pro Tools faders with the fifteen 01v faders. You must have the remote page 3 turned visible in the 01v.
