What to do with $1500
 

Alright, im getting about 1500$ soon. Im going to spend 500 on new cymbals for my drum kit. 250 on the Shure Drum Mic Kit (give or take 50$ on ebay). And 250 on an ADA8000.

What i have is a Digi 001, A Mixer, and other various rack mounts.

Im planning to have about 500-750 left over. Depending on how my business deal goes.

So what should i get with the remainder?

i think that really depends on what you have now...what mics, monitors, preamps, etc...if you can elaborate, im sure we can chip in with some healthy suggestions.

maybe upgrade to 002r?

Hurtin man! The studio is out of commision this week. No worrie! I am out to New Mexico this week anyways, so it works better... Waiting on cables that I bought and a new desk. Decided it was cheaper to buy than build so I am waiting on a reply from KK audio on what I am after. We shall see. This way, all the patchbays and apogee will be on the desk as well as the FX processors. The rack will hold all the Pres, compressors and misc. stuff. Will work out better....

I second the hooker. You really haven't experienced life until a visit to washy washy.

Also, a brand new toilet seat never killed anyone either. Something to make you proud to give birth on. Maybe a coil of copper imbedded in the seat attached to a 12V dc battery to keep the seat warm all day. You could do alot to your crapper with $1500.

ive never been a fan of fancy toilet seats

if you have that money spare then dont buy an ADA8000 - while they do the job you are better off with a lower end focusrite or something - ADA8000 has been said to be very close to a presonus aswell dont bother payin the extra on 1 of them

with the ada8000 you get what you pay for....cheap sound...

I'd say use that money to get a second hand Presonus Digimax.
