Wavedriver + Quicktime???

Hi,

i just managed to play sound from the Windows Mediaplayer through MBox2 to my speakers, everything is fine with that. Problem is the same thing just doesnt work for Quicktime, i hear the sound, but only with alot of interrupions. That makes quicktime files unwatchable/unhearable... Is there a way around that? Problaby by using the Asiodriver?

Also tried opening the Quicktimefiles in other programs like VCL Media Player, but that doesnt help.
Any suggestions could be a great help,

thanks

There is only one suggestion that currently is working for anybody; roll back to a previous version of Quicktime.

This is a known issue, and for some, painful and very frustrating.

I remember when i was using windows that there was a setting that you had to trigger in quicktime to get proper playback in iTunes/QT etc. you could try that. It's in the PDF with the driver.

Cheers

Yes, on some older versions of quicktime, making sure that "Safe Mode (waveOut only)" was checked on the audio tab of the properties dialog. That is no longer the case with the latest version of QT.

On even older versions, you could actually set the buffer size. Apple removed that option some time ago, much to the chagrin of us all. (Bring back the buffer settings! chant with me now... )
