It is probably a case of going to a funeral and saying 'why the sad faces, has someone died?'

There are endless threads about problems with bounce to disk - it's one of the issues people are having with 7.0, so the idea of someone suggesting that it's now great is probably not going down too well.

Search the DUC and you'll see the posts for yourself.

I think it's a case that if people could bounce to disk they would then probably have a track to listen to an compare.

i haven't had problems. But if others are that probably means that they changed somthing which is good because in previous version of PT the sound quality of BTD sucked but now it doesen't seem so bad. Anyone else noticed the improvment in SOUND QUALITY?

I've noticed no difference in sound quality with BTD between version 7 vs. v6.x. The "What's New in PT7" PDF doesn't mention any changes in the mix buss either. Maybe you're just mixing at a hotter level, which often makes everything sound "better"

I haven't heard anything about BTD on 7 but I have noticed that in general it is better to bounce to a bus than to bounce to A-1&2. I do not know why this is but the sonic quality is definately better when you bounce to a stereo bus.

@ccfinn: Do you mean you're routing all tracks to a stereo bus, use a stereo aux track as "master fader" with that stereo bus as input (i.e. for a dither plugin) and use that bus as bounce source in the bounce dialog?
