Problem With TC Brickwall Limiter II TDM

Hi,

Whenever I toogle |Delay Compensation or change parameters at the Playback engine, TC Brickwall Limiter II goes nuts and starts clipping and providing horrible distortions and overloud sound.

I had to run to the console and turn off the volume.

Right now, I was trying to disable it, quiting Pro Tools and I also got an Error code -600 from OS 10.5.5.

BTW I am using Pt HD 8.0.1 on a MAC Pro 2.66 Quad Core + PT HD2 Accel.

Thanks for any info!

Hi Alecio,

we have a huge problem with the Brickwall limiter as well. Every now and then it acts as it limits to the absolute maximum (+24dB). The meters show just a wall of sound, even if there is nothing going through the limiter. Quitting and restarting Pro Tools seems to help most of the time. We have the feeling it has something to do with the switch of the playback engine at session start?

Did you find a cure for this bug yet? Or is you bug completely different?

Thanks for your info,
Timothy

similar situation. Right now it happened again! I turned off delay compensation and when it returned to the session, almost damaged my HF drivers.

What a drag!
It is weird that TC has not addressed this issue yet. I have the latest version installed.

Anyone else?
