Export Selected Tracks as New Session PT 7-9

I love the export selected tracks as new session command, but I really really wish it would allow me to do this into a Pro Tools 7-9 session.

If you select Pro Tools 7-9 session, the export selected tracks grays out as an option. I wonder if this is a bug or if there is a reason for that. It just means that you have to export the session twice to get to Pro Tools 7-9 with selected tracks.

I don't know why it's greyed out but I can tell you that even if you can select it the feature is buggy. It will export the entire session instead of the selected tracks so basically it doesn't work.

Frank,

Just to make sure, you are saying that it exports all tracks when you export to 7-9, correct? At first I thought it was buggy, but I realized that if I selected the box and then selected PT sessions 7-9, it clears the box and grays it out.

No idea why itīs greyed out on your system. The drop-down menu here offers all the options from "latest" down to "protools 3.2".

Thing is: It doesīt work. Donīt bother trying it. The result is the same as using "save session copy in".

It only works when saving selected tracks as PT10 format.

The weird thing is when I select "save selected tracks as session" from the menu the window that opens then is called "save session copy in". Itīs exactly the same window that comes up. Maybe the feature isnīt yet implemented?

DTS? Any word on this?

Frank.
