This was a problem that I logged awhile back
The issue was with 12.3 or 12.4 i don't remember but it also had to do with 10.10.5. It was fixed in that version of PT and hasn't been an issue for me since, but I'm on 12.5.1 still |

This was the issue and it was 12.5 - I guess which is why I loaded 12.5.1

I tried all version from 11.4 to 12.4. 12.5 12.5.2 12.6
All versions crashed. Thats why (beside the videoproblems) i had been working with PT 10 all the years. But as I am paying all the years for a software I can not use I want to put some more power into investigation. But I think it is a protools problem since the 64 Bit version. Why does PT 10 not crash? So I am lost. Protools 12 for mixing and 10 for sound design. Ale |

Yes for sure it's frustrating, follow up with the support case. They were really helpful and were able to verify and confirm that they were seeing the issue on unrelated hardware and could reproduce the crash.....the fix came rather quick as well

Any help from the community?
I was not lucky with the help I got from avid support. Deleting prefs and workspace files .... and a fresh protools install did not help! We have three system here (different installs, different plugs) that all crash. IT MUST BE A PROTOOLS BUG @avid Is there a refund or do you put some years on top of my support contracts? Alex |

My guess is file permissions :/
We use Workspace everyday in 10 rooms, no crashes at all. Are you on Mac or Windows? |

we have 3 different rooms and none of them work. repairing file permissions did not help in any way. Ale |

Are your users admins?
And try to convert all your SD2 with PT 10 to WAV. I suspect that Avid still didn't tell you nothing because they are checking your logs... It's quite time consuming. Try create a new user with administration privileges, nothing more and Check if it still crash. Does it crash with your Sound library folder, or with any folder? If is with the Sound library folder, create a new one and add little by little the sounds to see when it start to crash, but if you can remove all SD2 to another place and converted them. |

Once again PT12.5.1 fixed the issue for me...and others.
I would uninstall, the full uninstall that will remove the pref files....then reinstall PT12.5.1 |
