Upgrade and registration

I buy a second hand Mbox2 with Pro Tools LE 7 and I want to upgrade to Pro Tools 8. Do I have to registrate Pro Tools LE 7 cause in this case there is no way for me to upgrade cause I don't even know who's my mbox is from.

Pro Tools 8 is a complete installer so there's no need to do anything with the older version(PT8 would ask you to uninstall it anyway, and includes an uninstall utility). Just buy PT8 and register it(to get the authorization code). Then you will have access to all the updates for 8(all the way thru 8.0.5 and any future updates for 8).
