PT9 and MP3 Encoding question
Good day everyone,
I see that MP3 exporting is now included with Pro Tools 9 instead of a paid option - I occasionally have to export my files as 320k MP3's and have using the 'paid' option from PT8, but always found the options given were quite limited compared to programs like Logic, etc. (you can only choose the genre from a drop-down menu instead of typing your own, can't put in disc numbers, more more advanced details, etc). I was hoping someone out there with PT9 can confirm whether or not the MP3 export options are exactly the same as PT8, or whether they've (FINALLY) been upgraded. Thank you! |
Re: PT9 and MP3 Encoding question
There has been no change as far as I'm aware.

DOH - that's what I was afraid of...
I currently use iTunes to modify but it would have been oh so much more convenient to just do it all on the export dialog... Oh well - thanks for the answer guys! |
Re: PT9 and MP3 Encoding question
Actually from what I have seen it does have a more expanded functionality than PT 8.X.X. Not as much as the one in SONAR, but quite a bit better than before. Especially for a free option.
