is it possible for me to run pro tools through an mbox, AND use the project mix as the main soundcard and controller??

My understanding is that if you are using PT LE you can use the Projectmix as a controller only, not as a soundcard. If you use PT Mpowered you can't use your mbox. Question:
1. why do you want to use your mbox if you have the Projectmix? If it is because of the pre's, well, you can record them on the mbox in PTLE then reopen the session in MPowered to mix on the Projectmix. I assume you have version 7.1 on both programs.

i lost my pro tools m-powered ilok key, and i was going to borrow a friends mbox2 for a few days til i get a new ilok key.

Here is a somewhat off track but related question: When you have both LE and M-Powered installed can you open both at the same time?
