Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here
Wow....congratulations on making the 4000th post on your thread, Roy.
Thanks for that. Glad you liked the song. The solo is too loud, the timing is ragged in places and the drums are off, but yes it is a rough mix. I'm sorting things out bit by bit, nudging drums and cutting and pasting a bit, and having some fun. I'll get there eventually. At least this time the overall balance isn't too muddy, I think. Maybe I'm getting the hang of eqing the guitar parts so they don't end up fighting each other. Thanks for listening. Voideco, thanks to you for listening too. LC was a revelation to me when I first heard his music, so I guess the influence is there. And no I can't play the drums and shouldn't try. It's always good to hear feedback. Thanks. |

yogev-sam,
Finally got a chance to listen...these songs are really good, and I love her voice. As Inteldoc mentioned, the guitars do sound out of tune in places, for whatever reason, but it sounds very good overall. Who is the singer, and are you producing her as a solo artist? thanks, Roy |

yogev-sam,
Sharon is an excellent writer and singer, in my opinion, and you're very lucky...I think you're doing a great job overall. Post some more when you can... -Roy |
Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here
JonM you mean to say you didn't drum this live? It sure doesn't sound like midi anyway. Then who did the drums? Or am I completely lost in some error ......
Yogev-sam to be honest I don't know so much if there is a market for your music in the Netherlans. I'd say why not, I'm most likely not the only one here who would like it. But I have a feeling about the market in the Netherlands that you make the most change if you make the music cheesy and dummy it down, what you don't wanna do. When I look at my changes here I always have a feeling that I should try to market my stuff in say Great Britain or so (in America I don't make the slightest change I suppose but it's a nice dream) but that's all I know. About record deals I'm an absolute nitwit. But I think it'll be worth trying to sell your songs in the Netherlands. Maybe Bastiaan can say something about it. Good luck all, Voideco |

Hi guys. Check out my songs: http://home.no.net/peterdj/Music.html
Or just this song: http://home.no.net/peterdj/Mp3er/Bou...20Protools.mp3 I'm just on the beginningstadium, I know there is a lot work to do with my songs, but this gives you an impression. The only real instrument I use is a bad acoustic guitar. The rest is VST-instruments. Tell me what you think. Thanks. |
Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here
Hi Bigpit.
I listened to the 2 versions of Heal Me. I wasn't struck by the first version, but I like much more the NEW version : slower, deeper, better sung... Good (sad) song. Melancolic. The video clip would be a slown down sequence with b&w or dull colors wouldn't it? And surprising brutal ending. Just maybe overall two much reverb... but it might be intended for the melancolic touch... Cheers. |

Hi bigpit,
I like your song, and think you have good ideas for arranging as well. I listened to the Logic version of that song and i personally like that wibe better than the slowest one. It was better sung and i like the vocal harmonies on the chorus. It can be some stuff you can do to make it move a bit more forward if you decide to keep it at the tempo the song has now. You could try to add a shaker and experiment with the rhythm. you can also try to add a string pad to see what it does. I think it maybe can make the song steadyer. Anyway, keep on working and you will get there. |
