ProTools HD locked up w/fast forward and rewind lit up

Okay, so my protools HD has locked up a few times. I notice that the Fast forward AND the rewind buttons are lit up up top.

Can someone tell me what I'm hitting on the keyboard to activate and how to get out of it?

Thanks.

Sounds like you may have the Transport Online activated. Check the Reference Guide - there may be a keyboard shortcut for it. You can turn it off under Sync on the Transport.

Howdy! If you’re on a Mac click control clear

Shift-spacebar puts it in “online mode” and the clock will flash because it’s looking for a sync source. All too easy to do….I accidentally do it all the time.

Is that on Windows? On Mac, shift-spacebar has always been half-speed playback. Option-spacebar activates online more for me.

Yes, it is a Windows key command. (OP did not specify his platform.)
