Mix and Control not working in Logic Pro X 10.4.4 after OS upgrade to 10.13.6
 

Hoping for some insight or maybe I've reached the end of the road with my Euphonix branded Mix and Control and Logic?

All working fine in Logic until recent OS upgrade to High Sierra 10.13.6. After this, although 'Logic Pro X' shows as the application in use in the top left corner of the Control window, no other functions are recognised and both units are dead. Both units show as 'My Surfaces' in the EuControl settings window on my mac.

EUCON latest 19.5 was downloaded as I believe I was on the previous version of 18 to try and rectify but still not working.

I'm a little out of touch with how far Avid are supporting this hardware with Logic these days so apologies in advance if this issue is well known.

19.5 was supposed to fix Mackie Control. We are working on a quick 19.5.1 release, please PM me with you email and I can get you a version to test this with as soon as we think we solve it.

I'm sorry...reading too many posts at the same time. Logic is EUCON, not Mackie Control..so ignore my last comment.
On the Surfaces tab in EuControl are your units showing up in the right-hand column?

No worries.
Yes both units show up in the RH column in the EU Control Surfaces Tab and any movement of faders make the lights on my router flicker so it would seem general comms are OK. Also when you change apps on the iMac, the 'Control' screen changes to show the current app in use.

I'm assuming it stopped working after the OS upgrade as I can't recall anything else significant that was changed.

First thing to try is to uninstall and reinstall. Use the 19.5 installer and select remove all Apps and remove prefs. Then reboot and install EuControl again and add your surfaces. Let me know if this helps.

I followed your instructions as above but still no response from Mix or Control.
Although I don't recall ever having to make or change any settings in Logic to get these devices working with Logic, I am wondering if the error is there somewhere?

I don't think there's anything specific. Have you checked the settings in the EUCON Application Setup Guide?

Well not quite sure what's occurred here but I when I switched everything on today and was looking for the Eucon Setup Guide from the website, Logic opened and the faders all moved into life. The settings in Logic are all correct when I cross checked them against the Eucon guide, but I am sure when I checked the Control Surface Setup previously in Logic it was blank, but as I had never needed to look in there before I wasn't sure if this was correct or not.

In any case, all working now so many thanks for. your help Eddie.:-)
