How to make backups of AV sequences

Is there any safe and easy way to make backups from AV? I have used to export a OMFI seauence with audiomedia and burn it to a CDR, but this method doesn't take care of all my gain changes. The Backup Project command in the bin menu is not what I'm looking for because this feature backs up mediafiles only. How does other people do this?

I make a folder for each new project (on the internal mac drive) and put the project and bins for that project into that folder. Then every night I copy the AudioVision Project Folder to a spare drive (even a zip or jazz will do. I don't back up the media till I'm finished with a project, but if you have the time and the storage media, it's not a bad idea.

When I'm finished with a project, I burn a CD, or multiple CDs with the project folder and all of the media from that project. My sound effects that are permanent fixtures on dedicated drives are backed up every couple of months if I have added files to them.

Hi Kjetil,
Your gain changes are not stored in the media files. Therefore no worry. All you have to do is to run a project backup routine like Rick mentioned.
I´m working since 4 years w/ Audiovision and tried to digitize everything from DAT. The option to batch digitize was my backup solution. In the meantime it is quite impossible this way with even picture editors extracting sound efx from cd...
Thank God nothing ever happened but nowadays I insist on backup medias in the cutting rooms I´m working.
DLT, DAT, Exabyte - be my guest.
I do an overnight backup of the entire project when I receive it from the picture department and from then on I only backup the changes of the day w/ Retrospect.

cheers

Tom
