PT10 to PT10 via AAF, but there's no volume automation?

I'm migrating dialog from several smaller session into one large session and I'm trying to retain the clips, clip gain and volume automation in the process. The "export selected tracks as new AAF/OMF" option is supposed to be able to copy the volume automation, but when I import the AAF into the new session there is no volume automation. I've tried selecting "enforce avid compatibility" on the export screen and I've also made sure the "import volume automation" box is selected on the import screen. Track data to import is set to "all"

My backup plan is to just import session data, select the session file and then manually select each track I need. It's not that bad really, but the aaf idea could save some time.

Any one have luck with copying volume automation using the AAF option?

I've found that when trying to import multiple sessions into one and importing new clips onto existing tracks - only the latest import retains it's automation info. The workaround - import them as new tracks and then drag them up into existing ones.

Hope that helps.

why not just import the little sessions into the big one
I would still import to new tracks then paste up
