C24 Monitor Section
 

Is it just me or do you guys think the monitor section of the C24 sounds terrible?

I did three tests today....out of my UA2192 straight to the Mackie Hr824s...then out of the 2192 through a 1202VLZ mixer to monitors....then from 2192 through C24 to monitors....

Even the Mackie mixer sounded better than the C24. I am currently looking for a solution that would allow me to adjust the volume directly from the 2192.....I can't deal with the loss of clarity anymore.

I guess everyone here is using the monitor section and not really hearing what it going on in the mix?

I'm using the monitor section, and I believe I'm hearing what's going on in my mixes ;-). The sound quality could have been better though, and I'm seriously considering a CraneSong Avocet myself.

IMO, the C24 monitor section does what it is supposed to, but like all other things, it can be improved.

When you puit the Avocet on your 2 mix, you are going to weep.

Why not get a Benchmark DAC1, and if you have more than a set of monitors, the Switch Witch does the trick.

I have hit upon the solution for me. I ordered the NHT PVC for volume control. I will use the C24 for my Cue mixes..........no biggie there......
