Are there any third party Timecode sync devices?
Are there any third party Timecode sync devices compatible with Protools?
Or are the Sync HD and Sync X the only units that will run Timecode into Protools HD Native/HDX? |

No, not that I'm aware of. Only way I know around it is to use MTC. For LTC you need an Avid sync box.

Do you have external TC that you need Pro Tools to lock to?
There are software solutions for converting LTC to MTC. https://www.source-elements.com/products/source-ltc/ You don’t get the sample accuracy you would with a Sync HD or Sync X though. |

This won't give you genlocked sync that will resolve over long time obviously but for simple trigger-sync it will do. |

I'm using Lockstep for this.
It uses any audio input to receive LTC and converts it to a virtual MIDI output https://figure53.github.io/studio/ |
