? for ADAT users

This isn't really related to digidesign products per se, but I just got an ADAT to use with my 001, and in the Alesis manual it made it sound like you should not rack mount ADAT's into an angled rack case. Anyone understand or can comment on this? Thanks.

it probably affects the way the way the Heads read/write. Can't say I've ever used my ADAT's at an angle...

never racked mine at an angle, but i have been in
studios that have.

Probably a desighn issue that makes it better not to rack it on an angle.

tape transport might not work as well leaning back could be a heat issue heat rising and all

might not allow for sufficient cooling most of the holes in equiptment being ib the rear top
