View Full Version : HEAT not included with Track Commit

I've seen similar threads but nothing that answers my specific problem....

I'm using HEAT in a PT mix and need to commit it to each individual track - I can't seem to get it to print in my tack commits. It seems like it's supposed to print when using it in Pre-insert mode, but it doesn't seem to make a difference using it pre- or post- it's not printing either way.

Any ideas?
Thanks.

Hi, welcome to the community.

Interesting finding! I'll ask around...

HEAT has to be pre-insert to be included when you commit. I just did a test for you, and it works here.

You are on HD, right?

Yes on HD. HEAT works when it's active on a track. I've tested it using both Pre and Post and it makes no difference - when the new track is created heat is on by default, and when I turn it off it hadn't been baked into the new audio created by commit.

My apologies, I spoke too soon. I did a quick test, and then straight into a recording session. I made a mistake when A/B-ing the prints (I don't use HEAT in my productions).

You are correct - it doesn't work. I've now tested commiting both offline and in real-time, and the results are the same. I'll try to investigate further.

Thanks.

Hmm, I just ran a quick test and it doesn't seem to be committing here when using offline bounce either (realtime or offline). HD native vs HDX?

RTD bounce works fine, as you'd expect - ie HEAT fx is bounced when bussing the track to a new track and recorded real-time.

Hmm interesting, thanks for checking. Let me know if you figure anything out!
