I sure wish we didn't have to hold our breath each time a new OS with security fixes come out. I'm fortunate to have another machine that I can check it out with, but one of these days if that one stops working..... Ouch!!

As far as the OS being better, I can't really tell.

risk of minor update breaking PT is very minor. upgrading to whole new major release would be brave, historically we need to wait for a PT release first.
