I recently purchased a new computer and I have PT 11. I've read my computer is not compatible with PT 11 because of its OS. What is the cheapest route to upgrade to PT 12 or get PT 12 for my editing studio? A new iLok would be nice to not have to travel back and forth from my studios. Thanks!

Can you post the specs and OS of what you bought? Are you using HD or Vanilla Pro Tools?

Have you tried it? Sometimes it says not compatible, but the software runs anyway. I just lent my friend my non-compatible 2008 8-core, and he loves it! I don't think that I'll be getting it back(hope he doesn't read this). Try it without the plugins first, just to see if PT11 will run.

The machine he's talking about is the second one in his sig file. And according to a page I linked to in the thread the op is talking about PT11 and Sierra aren't compatible per Avid. So he's going to need PT12.

First thing I noticed was I couldn't import tracks. This will be my editing station so thats a very important factor. I went ahead with PT 12. Thank you guys!
